COLCHESTER United boss Aidy Boothroyd admits he did not celebrate his side's late equaliser against Exeter such was his disappointment at their overall performance.
Clive Platt grabbed a brace as the U's twice came from behind to draw 2-2 on a rain soaked Weston Homes Community Stadium pitch.
"Exeter adapted to the conditions better than us. They were the better side," said Boothroyd.
"Yes, you can say we showed a lot of character to twice come back into the game, but we shouldn't have been in that position in the first place.
"I'm not particularly happy. I didn't celebrate our goal because I expect us to be better than we were today."
