FELIXSTOWE has a new Saturday football club with Felixstowe Harpers joining the Kingsley Heathcare SIL during the summer.
They will now be junior rivals to Felixstowe and Walton United and Felixstowe United after 47 years as a Sunday side.
Harpers are continuing running two sides in the Ipswich Flare Sunday League, and they have also started a veterans' side who kicked-off their campaign last weekend.
Trimley Red Devils Reserves were beaten 3-1 in Harper's opening Division Six SIL fixture with Aaron Swann (2) and Danny Jackaman notching the goals.
Manager Andrew Gordon has built a competitive looking side with a blend of youth and experience, and Steve Griffiths belied his 42 years with an enthusiastic display of someone half his age.
