SOL Campbell could be on his way to Notts County after director of football Sven Goran Eriksson has offered him a role.
Hull City and Newcastle were both rumoured to be showing an interest in the former England International but Notts County have stepped in.
The exact role Sol would play at County is still unsure. Rumours are that Sven would offer him a player/coaching type position.
Campbell was keen to remain in the top flight in hope that he would become part of England boss Fabio Capello's plans for next summers World Cup. However, with the prospect of returning to international football becoming ever more unlikely, Campbell is said to be seriously considering the move County.
