AFTER the successful re-launch of the Ipswich Inter-Firm Football Cup, companies now have the opportunity to enter the 2009/10 competition.
Back after an absence of eight years, the competition made a big impact last season with Ipswich Postals the winners and the following other sides taking part: Ipswich Police, ISG Jackson, Barnes Group, BT, John Grose, Ipswich Borough Council and Call Connection.
Organiser James Payne from Suffolk Football Association said: “Interest was strong, culminating in an excellent final.
“With Suffolk continuing to buck a national trend that shows a decline in male 11-aside football, the competition offers opportunities to footballers who cannot play in traditional weekend leagues.
“It also gives local businesses already playing friendly fixtures a chance to play in a competitive and well-organised competition.”
Suffolk FA and Team Ipswich will again be partners in running an event where matches will be played between late September and May.
Those interested or requiring further information should contact Payne on 01449 776310 or e-mail james.payne@suffolkfa.com
