COLCHESTER rattled up another draw but will see this as two points dropped. Mike Tracey gave Colchester the lead with a fine individual goal, beating at least two players and the goalkeeper before converting from a tight angel. However Witham got back into the game and had levelled and taken the lead before half-time.
In the second half Colchester thought they had an equaliser through Andrew Walker, however the umpire adjudged a foul and disallowed the goal. Colchester equalised through skipper Ed Nott, converting a nicely worked Penalty Corner routine.
