CAMBRIDGE UNITED'S match at Barrow on Tuesday, March 17, already once rearranged due to Barrow's involvement in the FA Cup third round, has been postponed again.

The match has been rescheduled by the Football Conference following a fixture pile-up for Barrow, caused by the abandonment of their Setanta Shield semi-final with Telford.

Due to Telford's continuing involvement in the FA Trophy, rather than make Telford play four games in eight days, Barrow and Telford have been instructed to play their rearranged match on the night we were due to play our BSP fixture at Barrow.

Cambridge Club Secretary Wayne Purser commented, "We are extremely disappointed at this late cancellation. We had already booked hotels and coaches and training facilities for the squad, and we know supporters are already booked on the Away Travel coach and have booked days off work, but this decision has been made for us by the Conference."

Barrow have no free mid-week dates so they will have to play two mid-week games in whichever week is selected for our fixture. We have few remaining free mid-week dates, so both clubs will have to discuss further to arrange a new date.
