CHELMSFORD City chairman Peter Webb has billed tomorrow's Blue Square South clash with AFC Wimbledon as 'the game of the season'.
Since being promoted from the Ryman League last season, both Chelmsford and AFC Wimbledon have taken step two of the non-league game by storm.
With 26 league games played, the duo jointly top the table with 56 points each - a full nine points clear of any of their rivals.
AFC Wimbledon are one of the biggest supported clubs in the non-league game and are expecting a record crowd of over 4,000 tomorrow, however, Clarets fans will be well represented, with five coaches travelling from Essex.
Webb said: “It's going to be a real, real humdinger of a game. We're all very much looking forward to it - it's the game of the season.
“People say that the result will be irrelevant in the scheme of things because there is still a lot of football to be played, but I think there is a lot of confidence that comes from beating your main rivals.”
