Ipswich Town are expecting their biggest home crowd of the season when they host Oxford United on Boxing Day.
The Blues are closing in on 28,000 tickets sold for their clash with the U's.
Town sit second in League One heading into the festive fixtures, with Karl Robinson’s U’s the visitors as Ipswich play their first Boxing Day game since 2019.
As things stand, 27,584 tickets have been sold, meaning a crowd of more than 28,000 is likely for Monday’s game.
The majority of remaining tickets, which number around 500, are in restricted view areas at the back of both the Cobbold and Magnus Group West Stands.
Town have broken the 28,000-mark twice this season, with 28,434 watching the game with Portsmouth and then 28,415 inside Portman Road for the victory over Derby County.
Town are averaging 25,533 for home games in League One this season, leaving them just behind Derby, who are supported by an average of 26,926 supporters at Pride Park.
Sheffield Wednesday are third, on 23,867.
