Former Ipswich Town loan star Macauley Bonne is looking for another club after being released by Charlton Athletic.

The 27-year-old striker, who scored 12 goals while on loan at Portman Road from QPR last season, hasn't played for the Addicks since they were thrashed 6-0 by Town on April 15.

After that match it was noted Bonne ‘liked’ a post from the official Ipswich Town account on Instagram as well as a post from a Town supporter celebrating the win, which was picked up on by unhappy Charlton fans.

And the boyhood Town fan, who grew up in Ipswich, was duly spoken to about it by boss Dean Holden.

He said: "I’ve just been made aware of it – because there is nothing to be gained from me going on social media as a manager when you have just been thumped 6-0, so I stayed well away from it all weekend.

“I’ve just made been aware of that and obviously I’ll speak to Macauley on that. That’s not something the fans want to see, clearly, after such a disappointing result. I’ll speak to him and address that.”
