Ipswich Town will travel to lower league opposition in the third round of the FA Cup.

Kieran McKenna's men were drawn away to either AFC Wimbledon or Ramsgate in this lunchtime's draw, live on ITV.

League Two AFC Wimbledon host Ramsgate, the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, on Monday night (7.45pm kick-off).

The home side are currently 10th in League Two, while Ramsgate play in the Isthmian South East League, where they sit sit top of the table.

The Blues got to the fourth round of the cup last season, going out to runaway Championship winners Burnley 2-1 in a replay after a 0-0 draw in the first clash.

Town, of course, won the famous trophy back in 1978, beating Arsenal 1-0 in the final.

The best they've done this century is the fifth round, which they reached in the 2006/7 season. They lost 1-0 at home to Watford.

The game will be played over the weekend of January 6/7, 2024.
