Ipswich Town Women will host Championship side Charlton Athletic in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup if they beat Lewes in their rearranged third-round tie.

The Tractor Girls' game with the Rooks was postponed on the weekend due to a waterlogged pitch at the AGL Arena, with the rearranged game to played this Sunday at 1pm.

As a result their previously schedule league fixture against Portsmouth will be moved into the new year.

They will face a Charlton side who are currently top of the Women’s Championship, the same division as Lewes but a level above the Blues.

Charlton boast a familiar face in their squad in the form of Freya Godfrey who is on loan from Arsenal and spent time at Town, where she netted eight goals and provided four assists in just 16 appearances last season.

Joe Sheehan's side also have Addicks keeper Poppy Soper on loan, who has made six appearances for the Blues so far but just got back from injury.

The Tractor Girls have already beaten Sutton Coldfield Town 8-0 at home and won 6-0 at Northampton Town in the previous rounds.

The tie is set to take place on Sunday 14th January 2024.
