Tete Yengi has left Ipswich Town to join Scottish Premiership side Livingston for an undisclosed fee.

The forward joined the Blues in the summer of 2021 from Australian side Newcastle Jets, but he failed to make a single senior appearance for the club.

Yengi spent most of the time out on loan, enjoying successful spells at Finnish sides Vassan Palloseura and Kuopion Palloseura, winning the Player of the Year award with the latter.

He also spent the second half of the 2022/23 season at Northampton Town, where he helped them win promotion to League One.

The 23-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Livi, who currently sit bottom of the top flight of Scottish football.

Livingston manager David Martindale said: “Ipswich Town have been very helpful and done all they can to help facilitate the transfer.”

“The player comes in with a large sell-on for Ipswich Town and a small contingency built in if we can manage to retain our Premiership status next season.”

The Australian made a handful of appearances for the Blues under-21's side and was contracted to the club until this summer.
