Kyle Edwards has left Ipswich Town after reaching an agreement with the club to terminate his contract prematurely.
The skilful winger joined the Blues on a free transfer from West Brom in 2021 - one of 19 signings made by Paul Cook that summer - and went on to score three goals in 23 starts and 40 sub appearances for the club.
Having mainly used Edwards as an impact player off the bench during Town's League One promotion campaign, Blues boss Kieran McKenna allowed the 25-year-old to join third-tier club Oxford United on loan last summer so he could play more regular football.
He scored twice in his first three games for the U's, but a hamstring injury has dogged him since mid-September though.
My time at Ipswich has come to an end and just wanted to thank everyone involved with the club for making Ipswich a home. Thank you to the Staff, Players and the Fans for the continued support for the past few years. Wish Ipswich all the best in the future 🚜💙 pic.twitter.com/8YBRhjSCAA
