Ipswich Town young keeper Woody Williamson has joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Cheshunt on loan.

The 17-year-old made his debut for the Ambers as they lost 3-2 at Chatham Town in the league on Saturday.

They are currently in the relegation zone with five defeats in a row and he could be set to make another appearance tomorrow night as they host fellow strugglers Margate. 

Williamson was previously at Arsenal’s academy, before he joined the Blues as a schoolboy in the summer of 2020. 

He signed his first professional deal at the club last summer and is a Scotland U19 international.
