Ali Al-Hamadi made his debut for Ipswich Town in their 3-2 defeat at Preston in the Championship - here's what fans are saying about him...
The forward came off the bench in the final 10 minutes to become the first Iraqi to play in the second tier and produced a promising cameo, after signing from AFC Wimbledon.
Al-Hamadi was lively and saw a couple of close-range efforts saved by keeper Freddie Woodman, with one leading to Town's second goal when Kieffer Moore forced the ball in.
Here's what Town fans had to say about his first appearance for the club...
Looked solid when he came on , can see the talent in him for sure

— Ollie (@olliecutts07) February 4, 2024ten mins is hardly time to warm your cockles but he was buzzing and looking hungry! Can’t wait for him to get going!
— Gary Jacobs (@garry456_jacobs) February 4, 2024Bright, energetic and busy. A perfect fit for the team. Just what we needed and can’t wait to see him get more minutes
— richard lee (@richardlee91091) February 4, 2024He played well - making runs, closing down and can see a partnership with Moore developing already.
— Crawf (@eblock_army) February 4, 2024If his cameo is anything to go by we've got a player on our hands, well done Ali!
— Tony (P)age (@ketton_itfc) February 4, 2024Think he's going to be some player for us. Will cause havoc off the bench against tiring defences.
— Stuart Spall (@spally76) February 4, 2024Kieffer was the star yesterday, but this man looked so strong, quick and ready for the battle yesterday. Brilliant sub appearance. Going to be a special player, no doubt. #ITFC #AlHamadi https://t.co/25vQKG4fiM
