Former Ipswich Town goalkeeper Harry Wright has signed for Suffolk non-league side Felixstowe & Walton United.

The 25-year-old is the son of Blues legend Richard, who spent last season at Witton Albion in the Northern Premier League before joining the revived Bury in the North-West Counties League Premier Division. He helped them reach the play-off final, but they were beaten on penalties by Wythenshawe Town.

Wright was released by the Blues in the summer of 2021 after failing to make senior appearance before joining Fleetwood Town.

He now returns to Suffolk to join the Seasiders, who play in the Isthmian League North. They finished third in the table last season but were beaten by Bowers & Pitsea on penalties in the play-offs.

Elsewhere, released academy midfielder Seth O’Neill has joined fellow Suffolk non-league side Ipswich Wanderers on a two-year deal.

The 19-year-old had been with the Blues since he was 13 until leaving the club at the end of the season, while having loan spells at Felixstowe and Stowmarket Town.
