Ipswich Town defender Elkan Baggott has suffered a fresh injury blow while on loan at Blackpool.

The 22-year-old centre-back was recently sidelined for more than two months with an ankle problem.

He returned to action action in a Bristol Street Motors Trophy game against Liverpool's U21s last Wednesday, but hasn't featured for the League One side since.

“Unfortunately he’s done his thigh,” Blackpool boss Steve Bruce told the Blackpool Gazette following last night’s 2-2 draw at Harrogate Town.

“I would expect it to be a month at least, that’s the minimum. He’s a young player so we’ve just got to look after him because he’ll be hugely disappointed. He was earmarked to play tonight and he’s not been able to do it.”

Indonesian international Baggott has been restricted to four appearances for the Tangerines in total. His contract at Portman Road is due to expire at the end of the season, though the Blues do have the option to extend that by a year.
