Como boss Cesc Fabregas has confirmed that striker Ivan Azon is set for a move to Ipswich Town.
Interest was first reported around two weeks ago, but it has since been revealed that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs, with the Spaniard joining the Blues on loan with an obligation to buy if promotion is secured.
Azon had interest from Valencia and Getafe, with Como also keen on keeping him after playing regularly in pre-season. However, with the Serie A side signing Alvaro Morata, the 22-year-old is expected to leave for Suffolk.
"The market is open to everyone," former Arsenal, Chelsea and FC Barcelona midfielder Fabregas said in a press conference ahead of his side's Coppa Italia clash against Sudtirol.
"[Gabriel] Strefezza [who has signed for Olympiacos] wasn't supposed to go and it happened, but those who don't want to stay here will leave.
"Ivan Azon, I wanted to keep him, but this morning he made the trip to Ipswich. It's a loan that is good for the club and for him, he will play in an important, difficult competition.
"It's his choice. We have to wait, there are two weeks [of the transfer window] left."
