AFC Sudbury knocked Bury Town out of the Ryman League Cup First Round for the season running on Tuesday, winning 2-1 at The Wardale Williams Stadium.
Bury took the lead on 20 minutes when Remi Garrett was bundled over in the box and then converted his own spot-kick.
After the break Sudbury grew into the game more and James Baker equalised from the penalty spot on 53 minutes, after Joe Whight handled Jordan Blackwell’s shot.
Sudbury grabbed the winner on the hour when substitute Sam Clarke’s header gave Marcus Garnham no chance.
