The English-born 25-year-old came through the ranks at West Ham, but, despite being of Turkish descent, represented the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s due to his Irish grandmother giving him eligibility.
He first moved to Scotland to play for Dunfermline before transferring to St Mirren in 2005, where he has scored 31 goals in 124 appearances.
