Bourne 0 Ipswich East Suffolk 1
Despite a depleted side, IES travelled to second placed Bourne in a buoyant mood and started the match in confident style.
The ball passed through the team with greater ease than it had in past games and the resulting forward pressure surprised an aggressive Bourne side.
The defence were a solid line, with Claire Pearsons and Maria Whelan making a series of critical tackles that kept an increasingly frustrated Bourne away from the goal.

The second half saw IES continue to push forward, with some great support work down the left by Kerry Kemp.
The only goal of the game came from a fluid move down the right hand side, with newcomer Lucy Bliss battling her way through to the back line and shooting across the goal mouth, which Annette White picked up on the turn and managed to sneak underneath the Bourne keeper.
Although Bourne continued to press the IES goal, the visitors stood firm and travelled home with a very well deserved win.
