Braintree Town hold Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Wrexham to goalless draw

TEN-MAN Braintree Town held league leaders Wrexham to a 0-0 draw in the Blue Square Bet Premier this afternoon.

Sean Marks and Jai Reason both went close for the hosts whilst Nathan McDonald pulled off a hat-trick of saves for Town who put to rest last weekend’s 5-1 home thrashing at the hands of Forest Green.

The draw was made all the more impressive as Alan Devonshire’s men had to play out the dying stages a man down after defender Aswad Thomas was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

He will now miss Tuesday night’s game away at Tamworth.
