Hadleigh are level on points with table-toppers Harwich & Dovercourt after a good win in their penultimate match of the season against third placed Carlton Park.
The visitors went ahead when Wesley put through a great ball to the top of the D to find the stick of Tabrett, whose first time strike hit the back of the goal.
Hadleigh then defended as well as they have all season as Copping, Miles, Grayling, Bignell and Miller proved impenetrable at the back. The back five made confident passing through the midfield, Karen's slick stick control eventually seeing her weave round the opposition defence and into the goal.
Carlton Park came back stronger in the second half and scored an early goal to keep Hadleigh on their toes. Hadleigh still fought hard though and strong play from the midfield of Arnold, Sue, Karen, Stennett and Witney, saw Stennett stormg into the D with a cracking, slightly off target, strike at goal which Sue coolly slotted home with a reverse stick shot.
