The 31-year-old San Siro star is hopeful of making the move to England after 10 years at Milan, believing his pit-bull style is ideally suited for the Premier League.
He said: “I like the Premier League. The Premier League is the best league for me, for my characteristics.
“I don't know what will happen. I have been at AC Milan a long time and it's not easy to go away, but we'll have to see.
“Chelsea are a big, big team but working with Ancelotti is a good feeling. We have worked together for eight years and he is for me a second father. He is a great person, and a great manager.”
Gattuso has two years left on his Milan contract but at 31 would be available for around �5m.
And Ancelotti is also rumoured to be weighing up a �30m move for Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. (Daily Express)
