COLCHESTER striker Chris Iwelumo admits he is mystified at being continually snubbed by Scotland despite his red-hot goalscoring form.
Iwelumo has hit 15 goals for the U's this season but was overlooked again when new Scotland manager Alex McLeish named his first squad for a get-together this week.
“I've scored 15 goals and I've not even had a sniff of the 'B' squad,” said the 28-year-old, who was born in Coatbridge and began his career as a trainee with St Mirren.
“I think the SPL is on a par with the Championship so I was devastated.
“I don't know if Alex McLeish knows whether I'm Scottish or not. Maybe I'll have to put 'Mac' in front of my surname. But I'll keep my chin up and hopefully keep scoring.”
