CHRISTINE Ohuruogu believes she is coming back to form at the right time after running a season’s best 50.69s in the 400m, in New York, at the weekend.
The 28-year-old will now race at the Aviva London Grand Prix on July 14, the event at Crystal Palace being her last major race before the Olympics begin in London.
“I feel the excitement as after a few years held back by injury I am back in good shape,” said Ohuruogu, who has been plagued by injury problems since winning gold in Beijing four years ago.
“I still have more work to do in training but everything is on the right track. My preparation hasn’t really been different - the programme that worked in 2008 is similar to what we have been doing this year.”
“If I am fit and healthy going into a championship I know I will run well.”
