Colchester United have re-signed Alex Wynter, for a second time, but this time on a permanent basis.
Crystal Palace defender Wynter had a loan spell with the U’s last season, during which he impressed at left-back during Joe Dunne’s tenure. He played six games.
Since then, the 21-year-old has had a loan stay at League Two club Portsmouth, making 10 league appearances for Pompey earlier this season.
But Wynter has now put pen to paper on a permanent contract with the U’s, which will see him through to the end of the 2015-16 season.
He is eligible to play in this afternoon’s game at Peterborough.
