England will face Croatia in their 2010 World Cup qualifying group following Sunday afternoon's draw in Durban, South Africa.

Having been denied a place at next year's European Championships by the Croats on Wednesday, second-seeded England find themselves in Group Six with the top-seeded eastern European side.

England will also face Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Andorra in their group, the latter side having also been in England's recent failed qualifying campaign.

Elsewhere, second seeds Scotland will have to win their tough group after being drawn in Group Nine. This group - which also contains Holland, Norway, FYR Macedonia and Iceland - will see only the top side progress due to it having one team less than the others.
