Meanwhile, former City player Darius Vassell is bracing himself for superstardom in Turkey after signing for Super Lig club Ankaragucu. (The Sun)
The former England striker, 29, was mobbed by 3,000 fans when he arrived for talks in the Turkish capital Ankara earlier this month.
He has now agreed a two-year deal with Ankaragucu, who escaped relegation by a single point last term.
Vassell, who was released by Manchester City at the end of the season, said: “I do not want to talk too much.
“All I want to do is play football. Ankaragucu is working hard for success.”
