Colchester United have a couple of injury concerns, ahead of Saturday’s home match against Northampton Town.
Fresh from a 6-0 win over Crewe Alexandra in midweek, which lifted the U’s up to third in the League Two table, the Essex club will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season to cement their top-three billing.
Boss John McGreal has enjoyed the luxury of being able to name the same starting XI, for the last three league matches, but left-sided specialist Brennan Dickenson is struggling a little, as is striker Luke Norris, who came off the bench to net the fifth goal against Crewe.
“We have a couple of knocks at the moment, and two boys missed out on training today,” revealed McGreal following this morning’s training session at Florence Park, Tiptree.
“Brennan (Dickenson) did not train this morning, and we are assessing him, while Luke (Norris) took a heavy knock on Tuesday.”
