COLCHESTER United caretaker boss Joe Dunne, who will step down today to make way for the new permanent manager - set to be Aidy Boothroyd - predicts a big future for the Essex club.
“The new manager is going to really move things on, and raise a few eyebrows,” said Dunne. “I'll do whatever the new manager wants. He will get my full commitment and support. I'll still be here. I'm still employed by the club at a level within the structure.
“I've really enjoyed being the caretaker manager. It's been a life-changing experience. I've loved it and thrived on it. Now the new manager should take us from very close to getting over the line.”
