ESSEX duo Ben Foakes and Reece Topley starred for England in their ICC Under-19 World Cup win against Nepal today.
Foakes, batting at No.3, produced a man-of-the-match performance with the bat, scoring 92 off 84 balls with seven fours and three sixes in England’s 274 for seven in 50 overs.
Topley then returned figures of 7-4-10-3 as Nepal were bowled out for 147 in their reply to lose by 127 runs.
Former Suffolk schoolboy Topley’s combined figures for the tournament so far are an impressive 26-8-57-8.
England now face South Africa in the quarter-final on Sunday at Townsville.
