Aston Villa are also rumoured to be interested in Jenas - if they lose Gareth Barry to Liverpool in the summer.
Moyes sent a two-man delegation to run the rule over the midfielder at the weekend and he could try to take him if the price is right in the summer.
Jenas has been in and out of Harry Redknapp's side since the change of management and his form has been mixed, but Moyes has always been interested in him.
