There are six Thurlow Nunn clubs in the FA Vase First Round, plus Ely City, who are exempt until the second round, but it looks a tough weekend ahead if they are to make progress, writes Phil Griffiths.

Thurlow Premier leaders Felixstowe & Walton travel north to play old adversaries Wisbech Town, who were members of the Thurlow Nunn until their switch to the United Counties in the summer of 2013.

These two played the final game of the 2012/13 at the then new Fenland Stadium, a game which the Fenmen won at the end of Kevin O’Donnell’s first season in charge at the Goldstar.

The Seasiders will start as favourites on paper, but there are no easy games and they will find their hosts a difficult hurdle.

First Division Debenham travel to Thetford while Newmarket and Coggeshall both play Enfield sides at the same venue, Newmarket on Saturday and Coggeshall on Sunday against Enfield 1893.
