FABIAN Wilnis has insisted he has not been handed a testimonial by Ipswich Town.
The Blues defender was misquoted in a Dutch magazine and the interview was picked up by websites and used, but he has now moved to correct matters.
Wilnis told the Blues official website: “I want to make it clear to everyone that I have not been given a testimonial.
“I did an interview with a Dutch magazine and they asked me about whether I would be awarded a testimonial and I said that I hadn't thought about it at all. Even after next season it would only be nine-and-a-half years, so it wasn't something that I had discussed with the club. I was totally misquoted and have made that clear to the magazine. I also want to make it clear to the supporters. I have definitely not been granted a testimonial.”
