Ipswich Town midfielder Emyr Huws has thanked Ipswich Town fans for their kind messages after the news that knee surgery has ended his season.
The Welsh international, who had only just returned to action following a long-term Achilles problem, suffered the injury in last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at Middlesbrough and went under the knife yesterday.
Huws – who Town signed from Cardiff for £1m this summer following an impressive loan spell – tweeted: “Thank you for the kind messages. Hard to comprehend what has happened to me this season but these things happen.
“I am truly blessed regardless with my amazing family and strong team behind me. I’ll come back better than before. See you in 2018.”
Blues boss Mick McCarthy will speak to the press ahead of tomorrow’s Championship visit of Reading at 1pm today.
