Mildenhall Fen Tigers’ team boss Robert Henry has retired from his position at the club.

As a manager since the rebirth of the club in 2011 Henry has lead the team to many trophies including the Grand Slam in 2012. This year’s National Trophy victory was his eight success in his seven year stint with the club.

Club Promoter Kevin Jolly said: “I’ve known Rob for years and when Chris (Louis) and Michael (Lee) and I took over he was the obvious choice.

“He is a Mildenhall Fen Tiger through and through and he will be a big loss. He was the ideal team manager as he had been there, seen it and done it. He has a great connection with the riders and the ability to get the best out of them.

“As a club we will miss him, but very much hope we will see him at the club whenever he is able, he has been a very good friend to me in my time in charge and he knows he will always be very welcome.”
