Rowhedge went 1-0 up in the first minute when a back-pass to Ben St Ledger took a nasty bobble and Webster finished with ease. Rowhedge were looking to increase their lead but could not break down the excellent Ratcliff, Howe Atkinson and Owen.
Athletic came back into the game and Duckworth made a good save from Twyman. Shortly after Twyman fired just wide.
Athletic, needing to win to keep the pressure on the league leaders, came out in the second half and scored straight from the kick-off when Mark Adams raced through and fired past Duckworth. Adams increased the lead when his shot nestled in the top corner. Athletic now were playing some excellent football and the excellent Glitz played in Steve Day who fired just wide. Rowhedge were trying to get back into the game but tenacious Andy Evers and hard working Jordon Twyman didn't give the dangerous Barlow and Platt a chance. Athletic held on to take three points with an excellent performance and real team spirit.
