FOLLOWING the departure of keeper Floyd Croll, Long Melford have confirmed the signing of 28-year-old Paul Wood from Halstead Town.The 6ft 4in keeper started his career at Tottenham Hotspurs where he played in the same youth team as the likes of Ledley King and Peter Crouch.
FOLLOWING the departure of keeper Floyd Croll, Long Melford have confirmed the signing of 28-year-old Paul Wood from Halstead Town.
The 6ft 4in keeper started his career at Tottenham Hotspurs where he played in the same youth team as the likes of Ledley King and Peter Crouch. In total he stayed with Spurs for four years progressing from YTS to become a fully fledged professional.
After release from Spurs he joined Barnet and then went into non-league football with Stevenage and Hornchurch. His Ridgeons League career started with Tiptree United then moving to Halstead Town in recent times.
