IPSWICH Town boss Jim Magilton has confirmed there may be one or two surprises in his starting line-up for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round clash with Swansea.

With a rash of injuries and suspensions, Magilton has been forced to make changes. However the Irishman confirmed he is happy to give an opportunity to fringe players.

He said: “There will be one or two who haven't played many games for us this season. I think there are bodies that can come in and do a job, and those that do play will be desperate to come in and do well.

“This game is about character and not letting your team-mates down. I'm not worried about throwing any of them in and that is a big testament to them.”

Magilton has been hit worst at the back for Saturday's game. Missing from the 3-2 win over Colchester are David Wright, who continues his stop-start career at Town with a suspension for last week's red card, and Alex Bruce, who begins a two-match ban. Add to this skipper Jason De Vos' metatarsal injury, and Ipswich have been left facing a defensive crisis.

Those in line for a rare start include Chris Casement and Sito Castro, who will probably vie for the right-back slot vacated by Wright, while Fabian Wilnis is likely to come back into central defence. One player who might well have been in contention is Ian Miller - however, the centre-half is cup-tied after turning out for Ryman League Bury Town in an earlier round.
