THE Rock Up for Randall fund-raising day at Maldon Cricket Club has already raised in excess of 6,800.
A Twenty20 match was held as part of the day on behalf of David Randall, the Maldon batsman who was diagnosed with bowel cancer earlier this year.
Randall, who grew up playing alongside Essex and England stars Alastair Cook and Ravi Bopara, has since undergone surgery and chemotherapy.
Cook donated a signed England shirt towards the day which was held to raise funds for Macmillan Nurses.
