Standards were high as 50 competitors lined up to give the 63rd East Anglian Archery Championships their best shot.

The event, held at Framlingham Sports Club recently, featured three different bow classes. Archers came from across Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

Tom Barber won the gents’ recurve bow, while Bethany Farrow took the ladies’ title. Mike Gissing triumphed in the gents’ compound bow, while Gillian Harris won the ladies’ equivalent. Christopher Smith and Bernadette Stubbings triumphed in their respective longbow titles. The junior boys’ recurve bow was won by Jack Nobbs, while Emily Warren won the junior girls’ title.

Thorpe Hamlet AC from Norfolk took home the club team trophy, while Norfolk won the county team award.
