Great Britain will race New Zealand for gold in the women’s team pursuit at the Track World Cup event in Cali after finishing second in qualifying.
Paralympic champion Sarah Storey, who is aiming for a spot at the Olympics, joined forces with world champion Wendy Houvenaghel and Laura Trot and posted a time of three minutes and 24.849 seconds.
New Zealand trio, Lauren Ellis, Jamie Nielsen and Alison Shanks were the quickest in qualifying, in three minutes and 24.005 seconds, while USA took third in qualifying and will face Lithuania for bronze.
The final takes place in the evening session on Thursday at the event in Colombia.
