BURY Town’s Chris Henderson netted a hat-trick in a 3-3 draw at Leiston on Saturday.
Bury took the lead after 20 minutes with a swift breakaway goal by Henderson, but Leiston were back on level terms five minutes later when Michael Brothers thrashed the ball home off the underside of the bar. Moments later Leiston were ahead, Danny Cunningham crossed for Brothers to volley into the corner giving Marcus Garnham no chance.
Just before the break Henderson equalised for Bury, but from the kick-off the ball ran through and Cunningham outsmarted the Bury keeper and rolled the ball across the goal giving Danny Smy the easiest of chances to open his account.
Bury were back on level terms again when Henderson completed his hat-trick after 65 minutes.
