This Sunday it is the return to League action as the Buxton Hitmen visit West Row.

The Fen Tigers will be looking to quickly put behind them the disappointment of last Sunday’s home defeat to rivals Cradley in the 1st leg of their KO Cup tie.

Nothing but three points will be acceptable and with Joe Jacobs again available at Number one, the Mildenhall management team will be expecting a full strength Fen Tigers to deliver the goods. Although having an inexperienced look about them this season, no one will be taking the Hitmen for granted as they have sprung a surprise or two over the last few seasons when visiting West Row.

Gates open at 2pm and this weeks ‘Meet the Rider’ is the ever popular club Captain Danny Halsey.

Halsey will be meeting supporters from 2.15pm signing autographs, handing out the sought after rider cards and having photos taken with fans.

Club Chairman Kevin Jolly is looking to Sunday as a chance to bounce back from last weekends disappointment –

“Losing to Cradley is never easy for us to take, as they have become our great rivals but credit where is it due they were deserved winners last week. But that is gone now and the lads need to stay positive and knuckle down and make sure we take full points on Sunday as we look to stay in Play-Off contention.

I remain confident we have the team to go all the way this season and have every faith in the lads. It is already looking like six teams chasing four Play-Off places and we want to cross the finishing line for the Play Offs as soon as we can, and not be in a position where we rely on others to help us. With that in mind Sunday is a must win fixture for us.

Elsewhere things are looking very positive, the Meet the Rider idea has really taken off now, and it is good to see the youngsters getting involved and meeting their favourites. I’m sure there will be a queue Sunday to see Dan. I have also noticed quite a few new faces at meetings, which is great news for the club and shows that the hard work being put in is paying dividends.”
