Sudbury Ladies 1st XI 1, Crostyx Ladies 1st XI 1
SUDBURY ladies first team travelled to north London eager to improve on last week's performance. They started brightly with both teams strong going forward, but the Sudbury defence of Katy Clark, Hayley Spooner, Becky Golding, Mandy Coleman and Emma Stephens saw off any real threats.
A quick self-pass from Spooner into the 'D' to Gina Eley, found a cool-headed Jess Shepherdson in front of goal to sweep the ball into the back of the net.
The second half saw Sudbury start a little brighter and sharper, and they were unlucky not to extend their lead. A tight second half saw some great runs from Ellie Colton up front and continued pressure on the Crostyx defence from Tracey Caddock.
Sudbury face Gore Court at home on Saturday at 1pm
