Holders Bury to travel to Walsham in cup
HOLDERS Bury Town will start their defence of the LB Group Suffolk Premier Cup with a local derby at Walsham-le-Willows.
All five of the county’s Ryman League sides avoided each other in tonight’s first round draw and will meet Ridgeons League opposition.
LB Group Suffolk Premier Cup first round draw: Brantham Ath v Mildenhall Town, Woodbridge Town v Needham Market, Felixstowe & Walton Utd v AFC Sudbury, Newmarket Town v Lowestoft Town, Leiston v Hadleigh Utd, Walsham-le-Willows v Bury Town. Byes: Haverhill Rovers & Kirkley & Pakefield.
Ties to be played on October 11 & 12, kick-offs 7.45pm.
The tie of the first round in the Suffolk Senior Cup sees holders Whitton United drawn at home to fellow Ridgeons League First Division side Ipswich Wanderers in a local derby.
