THE Colchester United duo of Michael Rose and Ian Henderson have both left the Essex club, having their contracts cancelled by mutual consent before the transfer deadline closed last night.
Striker Henderson has not been in the U’s squad in recent weeks, while left-back Rose has been in and out of the team without being able to hold down a regular place.
Rose revealed on his Twitter account this morning: “Had to make a big decision late last night!
“Don’t feel like I had much choice, but it was the (right) time. All the best to everyone at Colchester.
“Thanks for the lovely messages, but I think it would be unprofessional of me to say why I had to.
“I’m disappointed but have no bad feelings towards the club.”
