Ipswich East Suffolk II 4 Harleston IV 2

Ipswich East Suffolk II ended a bad run of results with this vital win in their battle against relegation.

IES started the game brightly taking the game to Harleston and were soon 1-0 up after a slick move put Mark Day through to slot the ball under the keeper. IES then seemed to sit back and allow Harleston to equalise and then take the lead after some sloppy marking.

IES came out for the second half positively and soon equalised with a slick passing move which the unmarked Graham Ramsden finished first time to catch the keeper off guard.

IES continued to pile on the pressure looking for the win and the ball fell kindly for Jason Pettit to poach a goal to take the lead. Pettit then scored once more to ensure all three points were collected, what a time for the captain to score his first two league goals of the season!
