Facing a very youthful Norwich City team, IES struggled from the start and were always on the back foot with City given direction by their three old hands who continually pushed into the IES D and tested the defence severely.
Just before half time City were awarded a penalty corner that was expertly converted by Alan Windale.
Not to be outdone IES kept battling forward when the opportunity arose and indeed were rewarded with a penalty flick when a shot on goal was stopped on the line be a City foot.
Neil Slade confidently stepped forward to convert the flick and even the odds on 62 minutes.
